That set of molars is known as wisdom teeth and they might cause trouble if they don’t erupt properly. In this case, they might need to be surgically removed. Both the milk teeth and permanent teeth develop by a certain age. The milk teeth might fully develop by year 6 to 10 and shed by year 12. And this is when the permanent teeth start to develop. A few molars might develop early while the permanent teeth take their place. However, molars (only the wisdom teeth) are usually the last ones to develop, and they usually erupt by the age of 25.
Now, we describe the type of teeth that human beings possess along with their function. As we smile, the teeth that grace that smile first are the incisors. Incisors are the ‘front teeth’ and are usually the ones that tear the food first when we eat.Next to the incisors are the canines. Yes, the pointy teeth are called canines probably because they resemble the structure of a dog’s teeth. The canines assist in tearing the food further. Along with that, the incisors also make sure that the jaws support each other when we close our mouths.
Next are the molars. Molars are the strongest set of teeth in the human body. They are responsible for actually breaking down the food while chewing. Together, all the sets of teeth make sure that the food is properly chewed and is therefore ready for easy digestion. The wisdom teeth also assist in chewing the food properly. But there is a chance that they might not erupt and lay under the gum. In that case, they have to be removed to prevent pain or infection.
